Fall Food Festivals You Don't Want to Miss In September
Taste of Woodstock
Thursday, September 12
Taste of Woodstock will feature 24 local eateries that you can exchange tickets for tastes of food. The event will be located at the beautiful Woodstock Arts Event Green in Downtown Woodstock. Cash will not be accepted at the tasting tents, only tickets, which you can purchase at the ticket booths located at the entrances along Market, Elm and Oak Streets. Tickets cost $1 each and packages start at $5. Tastings will range from $1-4. Not only will you get to taste food from great local restaurants like Rootstock and Primo's Pizza and Italian Kitchen, but you will get to vote for best appetizer, best entree, best dessert, and people's choice award. There will also be live music at the event.

Favorite Summer Recipes to Savor the Season
1. Grilled Lemon Herb Chicken Skewers
Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
2. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
