There's just something special about fall in Canton, Georgia. The leaves are changing, front porches are filled with pumpkins, the air is getting a little cooler, and our community is coming together for some of our favorite traditions.

Whether you've called Cherokee County home your entire life or you're new to the area, this is one of the best times of year to experience everything that makes our little corner of North Georgia so special.

October 27: Canton Night Farmers Market & HOWL-O-WEEN

There's nothing quite like spending a fall evening in Downtown Canton!

The Canton Night Farmers Market is bringing a little extra Halloween fun this week with its HOWL-O-WEEN celebration!

Spend the evening shopping from local vendors, supporting small businesses, and enjoying the charm of our historic downtown. And this week, your four-legged family members can join in on the fun, too!

Calling all little ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and princesses!

One of our favorite Halloween traditions is back, and we couldn't be more excited!

The Maria Sims Group is hosting our annual Spooky Scoop at A Cone to Pick, and we're inviting all the kiddos to come enjoy a FREE scoop of ice cream!

Dress up in your favorite Halloween costume, bring your friends, and stop by for a sweet treat on us.

There's nothing we love more than seeing familiar faces, meeting new neighbors, and watching the little ones make memories right here in our community.

We can't wait to see all those creative costumes!

October 28: More Halloween Fun Around Canton!

If you're looking to fill your Halloween week with even more family fun, several local churches are joining in on the festivities!

Hickory Flat Church Trunk or Treat

Get those costumes ready! Hickory Flat Church is hosting a family-friendly Trunk or Treat celebration.

It's a wonderful opportunity for the kiddos to enjoy some Halloween fun in a welcoming community setting.

Canton First Methodist Fall Family Fun Night

Wednesday, October 28 | 5:00–7:00 PM

Location: 930 Lower Scott Mill Road, Canton

Another great opportunity to make some memories with the family!

Canton First Methodist is hosting a Fall Family Fun Night featuring face painting, activities, and a hot dog meal.

Between Spooky Scoop and these wonderful local celebrations, there's plenty of Halloween fun to go around!

It's officially time for trick-or-treating!

Whether your family loves walking through the neighborhood collecting candy, decorating your front porch, or gathering with friends for a Halloween celebration, there's something so special about seeing our neighborhoods come alive this time of year.

Keep an eye out for additional trunk-or-treat celebrations at local churches, neighborhood gatherings, and community Halloween festivities throughout Cherokee County.

And don't forget to take plenty of pictures of those little ones in their costumes. These are the memories that make the season so sweet!

November 5: Our Annual Friendsgiving — A Meal With a Mission

Once the Halloween costumes are put away and the candy buckets are full, we're turning our attention to something especially close to our hearts.

Our Annual Maria Sims Group Friendsgiving is almost here, and YOU are invited!

If there's one thing we've learned over the years, it's that the best part of living in a small town isn't just the beautiful homes or charming downtown streets. It's the people.

It's the neighbors who become friends, the local businesses that always show up, and the way this community comes together when someone needs a helping hand.

That's exactly what Friendsgiving is all about.

Our mission is simple: bring our community together, share a delicious FREE warm meal, and make sure everyone has a place at the table.

Giving Back to Our Neighbors

This year, our Friendsgiving celebration is about more than sharing a meal. It's also about making a difference for families right here in our community.

We'll be collecting canned goods and nonperishable food items to benefit the Never Alone and Community Now food pantries.

These local organizations help provide food and support to individuals and families who need it most.

All we ask is that, if you're able, you bring a few nonperishable food items to donate when you join us.

A few cans of vegetables, a box of pasta, or a jar of peanut butter might seem small, but when our community comes together, those little acts of kindness can make a big difference.

And that's what we love most about Cherokee County.

Come hungry and enjoy a warm meal on us!

Whether we've known you for years or haven't had the chance to meet you yet, we'd love to have you at our table.
