Help Us Fill the Community Closet: Supporting Local Families This Back-to-School Season

At Maria Sims Group, we believe real estate is about so much more than buying and selling homes. It's about building stronger communities, supporting our neighbors, and showing up when families need us most.

As the new school year approaches, we know many local families are preparing for one of the busiest and most expensive times of the year. Between school supplies, backpacks, shoes, and clothing, back-to-school expenses can add up quickly.

That's why we're excited to announce our upcoming Back-to-School Community Closet & School Supply Drive, taking place July 23rd.

Our goal is simple: help local children start the school year feeling confident, prepared, and supported by their community.

How You Can Help

We're currently collecting gently worn children's clothing and shoes that kids have outgrown but still have plenty of life left in them.

We're looking for:

• Children's clothing (all sizes welcome ages 5-18)
• Shoes in good condition
• Backpacks
• New school supplies

We kindly ask that all donated clothing and shoes be clean and free of stains, holes, or excessive wear.

Donation drop-offs can be made at the Maria Sims Group office over the next several weeks as we prepare for the event.

Every donation helps us provide families with access to quality clothing and essential school items at no cost.

Supporting Local Families

This event is designed to create a welcoming shopping experience for families in our community. In addition to clothing and shoes, we'll be providing free school supplies thanks to the generosity of our local business partners, vendors, and community supporters.

Whether a family needs a few extra school supplies, a pair of shoes, or clothing for the upcoming school year, we want every child to feel ready and excited for the first day of school.

One of the things we love most about living and working in Cherokee County and North Georgia is the way people come together to support one another.
